Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into an extended family of actors and filmmakers, both occupations which she's pursued. As a young girl the actress began her acting career in Sergio Cittis Sogni e bisogni. The role she played was the main one in the film of Cristina Comencini's Zoo (1988) and appeared as a part of Michele Savi's 1989 film The Church.
